Conclusion
In this module we discussed how to apply various feature selection techniques specifically to a linear regression model. Many of these feature selection techniques that we discussed in this module can also be used in other types of models. In Module 10, we will introduce a new type of predictive model called a logistic regression model.
A logistic regression model is very similar to a linear regression model. One of the main differences is based on our intended response variable.
- In a linear regression model, the response variable is numerical.
- In a logistic regression model, the response variable is categorical, with two levels.
